You could paint it as a feature wall. Another option would be to add some shelves to the whole alcove and use it as a display for books and ornaments.
I would love to keep it as entertainment area and put a 75 inch TV but that may be to big unfortunately.
Hi! Do you like shiplap or any other wall finish? A special color? Wallpaper?Shelves would definitely give you more decorating options. I would definitely mount the tv on the wall. We have ours mounted on an adjustable mount, and can raise, lower and move it side to side. It puts it at a good height. Good luck and stay safe!
Can you share a photo of the whole wall? It would Be great to get some context.
Hello if this was my home I would consider putting shelves in.
Looks like you are going farmhouse. I would put a large wreath, one that will mimic the size of the tv, 1/3 - 1/2 way up (between top of tv & ceiling) and leave at that.

you could mount the TV on the wall and then add storage cubes or a small bench underneath- or leave TV as is and put a large clock on the wall over the TV or even a mirror
Yes, a picture of the entire wall would help but from seeing just this one - you could make a built in white cabinet at the bottom about the same height as the one you have now with a nice stained wooden top. Above that leave a space for the cable equip etc. Then add a shelf for the TV higher than it is now. Can't see how much space you have to deal with above the TV but there could be shelves for decorative items or a large piece of art and perhaps that area could be lighted.
I would mount the TV onto the wall, but first I would either paint the wall with an accent color, or install shiplap, or put up wallpaper. When the wall is complete, I would add shelves from end to end.
I would have floor to ceiling built-ins put in there.
It would be very difficult to try to keep shelves and anything on them clean and dusted, simply due to the height of the wall.
How deep is the alcove, and how high is it? Does it go all the way to the ceiling?
