I use a very large scarf as a " bed scarf " like they have in fancy hotels.
ew the lightweight scarves them together end-to-end and braid or crochet them into: placemat, rug, blanket, etc. Donate the warm and large scarves that are large enough to nursing homes or the local mother's group. They work well for cold shoulders or knees, as well as a cover for nursing babies. If they are slightly stretchy (gauze, rayon, polyester or cotton) they might be the right size for swaddling a baby. They could be cut down or sewn together to measure 12" to 24" squares for children's blankies. You can modpodge them onto plain lamp shades or drape them through/around items displayed in your house. Hang sheer ones over a small window to provide privacy while allowing light to come through. Check online for multitudes of ways to wrap and wear them. Wrap them around your waist to jazz up a plain dress. Sew two together to cover a pillow form. Tack them around a window or door frame. Wrap them around a rounded wire hanger for a wreath. Roll a sheer one up against the rear seat car window to cut sun glare on your child's face. Modpodge one on door. Put one in a frame without the glass and use it to store jewelry. Good luck!
