Not sure about using it on grass, but I sprinkle a couple of tablespoons in my hibiscus pots every 10 days or so. I think it makes them have greener, lusher foliage.

Hi Barb. You can do both. I put it in my vegetable garden and also around my hostas to keep the slugs away. You can mix it with water and spray it on your lawn in spring as a fertilizer.
I used it on my lawn along with fertilizer, I had the greenest lawn in the neighborhood.
Epsom is rich in magnesium, which is deficient in most soils. A tablespoon around your plants will make them happy, especially tomatoes!
