How do I fix yellow spots in my yard from pets' urine?

I read here where 1gal of water w/ 2 tablespoons mixed and applied to the spots would fix my issue. However ... in that article, they did not mention how often I am to apply it. I would like to know if it is daily or weekly or what?

Rake the patchy areas to remove as much dead grass as possible. Apply a layer of extra-fine ground limestone. Water the area to help the limestone absorb, then let it sit for a week. Cover the patches with top soil then sprinkle grass seeds over them.

Training your dog is the only long-term solution, OP.

I love my dog so much but it constantly did the things that irked me most. It would chew on things that it shouldn’t or jump up and down out of the blue. Whenever I put on the leash, it would pull on it. Whenever it was out of the house, it would continue digging on the ground - I wish I could tell what it was looking for down there. All the things it did left me feeling depressed as if I failed it monumentally.

But since I discovered Brain Training for Dogs and applied the system offered, it now behaves the way a beautiful dog I always expect of.

    Hi Nedgarver2,

Are you talking about water and limestone? This article says to water it, leave it for a week, put topsoil on it, then plant new grass seed. I hope that helps. Wishing you the best.

I did some research and learned that you should first rake up and remove burned dry grass. Then sprinkle in extra fine ground limestone. Gently water the area to help the limestone into the soil. This natural mineral neutralizes the acid from dog urine. Let it set for a week. Then add soil and seed. Water daily for a couple weeks. Takes about 6 weeks for grass to grow. I hope this helps you. Best wishes.
