We do it around Labor Day. The daytime temperatures and still warm enough for the grass to germinate. Remember to water often.
what is your location for the correct answer
Now! I use Scott's. You gotta do it when it's cool enough for the ground to stay moist but warm enough that it wont freeze. You be able to keep it moist for several days (5 or 6)
