To clean your stainless steel, rub in the direction of that grain. Do a preliminary cleanof your appliance with vinegar: Spray your appliance liberally with vinegar. Wipe it down: Using either a paper towel or a very soft cloth, wipe the vinegar off in the direction of the grain.
Hi! If you do not want to use any of the (quite expensive) stainless steel polishes, you can simply mix vinegar with water (ideally in a spray bottle), apply it to the surface and immediately wipe it off with a soft cloth. For the ratio of water and vinegar opinions vary. I usually use a mixture of almost 50/50 (I usually use less vinegar than water - but I also use it for other cleaning activities). You should be good with 1/2 cup of vinegar and the rest of the bottle filled up with water or a mix of 1 to three parts (vinegar to water).
I have also read - but not tried - to use WD40 or olive oil on stainless steel surfaces. This will have to be wiped off thoroughly after applying but is supposed to work wonders.
Good luck.
Try using 91% isopropyl alcohol. I use it on my stainless steel sink and it shines beautifuly. Just put some on a clean rag and wipe really well.
I use endust green apple multi surface cleaner.
