Coffee grounds are good for acid-loving plants like rhododendrons. Eggshells are a good source of calcium for all plants.
Tomatoes love coffee ground. Some scattered around the garden are good as the worms love coffee grounds.
I've heard that they are good for a compost pile or bin. Maybe?? if you put then directly in the soil, you might attract rats etc..
put them in compost to break down first
compost first,to break it down.or you might attract unwanted visitors

Absolutely.. Add them using the direct post method.. My grandma taught me this and it works like a charm. http://www.gardenupgreen.com/2015/05/direct-compost-update.html
Broken up eggshells help to keep out slugs. They will not cross them as they cut up their bodies. Also adds calcium to the soil.
Crushed eggshells are great for roses
Coffee, tea and oak leaves are great for azaleas and hydrangea. Egg shells seem to be good for every plant. I have heard of people starting off seedlings in egg shells but I haven't personally tried it.
I give my Christmas cascus a cup of cool black coffee and the plant Blooms all the time. I also spread coffee grounds around the base of my tomato , pepper and potato plants and AND they are growing like crazy.
yes both
Yes coffee is acidic ashes are also good but are alkaline not sure what egg shells and veg scrapes bring but they add something all very good for soil.
If you add eggshells to your compost or soil, be sure to rinse them well to avoid bacteria growing in your garden! Crush them up well too..
