I'd like to cover imperfections and Damaged Sheet Rock on walls, help!
What techniques can cover imperfections on walls after wall paper has been removed? Some of the paper from the sheet rock has also been torn from wall.
use a stain blocking primer
Is this an exterior wall? was there a flood? does it smell? Personally, I would remove the wall board and investigate, testing for mold, and what's behind it. You could also check it with a moisture meter to see how wet it is. If its an exterior wall you may need a French Drain, and remediate the mold and replace the damaged insulation and wall board up 4 feet.
Any chance it's honey from a bee infestation? If it is try to find somoene to rescue the bees.

It’s very strange how there appears to be a horizonal line. I agree, the wall should be opened up. Here’s a case where it’s very good to be a renter, assuming you have a responsible landlord.
Need to get behind the wall. A few small inspection holes and a flashlight to find what's causing it.
Looks like it is either a plumbing leak that is travelling or an exterior leak possibly running down and getting behind siding? Or maybe leaking in from ground level depending on where that is.
Update: this was indeed mold.
