You are your own decorator. If it pleases you, then it is okay. There are no hard and fast rules to decorating your own home.

If it doesn't offend you and the room has a different use and decor it should be fine, but without seeing everything I is hard to make a judgement..........
It's your preference, hang what you like, there are several styles of decor out there.
They don't need to be matched but unless your look is eclectic they should coordinate. AND if you like it then it is right for you.
