Would love to paint my house a different color? Material is stucco .

That is a big job and most likely will need to be sprayed on with a paint sprayer.

Stucco needs to be sandblasted to remove loose material before painting if it's in bad shape. Stucco should also be spray painted, not rolled unless you're a masochist! Drive around the neighborhood and see what colors people are using, or go to new developments and check those out for more current colors. Pay attention to field versus trim colors, too. Try for a blend of three colors: trim, field, doors, garage. Garage should be darker than field or it will become the focal point.

I painted my stucco ranch house myself. First I washed it with the hose sprayer. Then I rolled the masonry paint with a very thick foam roller that had slits in it--to get into all the texture, I guess. It came out fabulous and still is fabulous after 20 years. I used kind of a dark khaki brown color and it looks wonderful. Great background for all my pink rosebushes. But color is such a personal thing. not everyone would have painted their house what I chose but it's what I wanted. So, I won't suggest any color for you. New England requires different colors than CA or Tn. Good luck!
