- RichandTammy Whitesideon Apr 24, 2018Try running your clothes through a few rinse cycles to remove the white marks and then use way less laundry detergent come laundry day. Make sure that you use only cold water also.HelpfulReply
- Johnavallance82on Apr 24, 2018Could be Cal build up in machine due to hard water deposits. Run cleaner through machine! Or it could be too much washing? Try Calgon with every wash...........HelpfulReply

Jeanette Son Apr 24, 2018White marks usually means your detergent is the wrong kind. Make sure you are using a detergent specifically for HD...the container will indicate HD. Also, a liquid detergent would be the best choice.HINT: The new washers tout "much larger capacity" but keep in mind that they use a lot less water so be careful not to overload...this could be the reason the detergent is not getting out of the clothes!HelpfulReply
- Chris Porteron Apr 24, 2018Thanks but I'm using HD liquid soap and I am also doing a double rinseHelpfulReply
- Ast24481651on Apr 24, 2018I also had this frustrating problem. Manufacturer suggests balling the items up like a softball instead of laying them in flat like I had always done in other washers. This took care of it in my HE washer.HelpfulReply
- Dianacirce70on Apr 24, 2018You may be overloading it and it is causing detergent to leave a residue. You can try a liquid detergent. I had a similar issue with detergent pods, some of the casing would not dissolve and stick to clothing. Do you have a front loading machine? Or top?HelpfulReply
- Lonoon Apr 24, 2018have you cleaned the washer and soap dispenser. Most manufacturers require periodic cleaning. I would check the owners manualHelpfulReply
- Chris Porteron Apr 24, 2018Thanks that will be my next jobHelpfulReply
- Jeanette Son Apr 24, 2018My machine has a "clean" cycle that I did not even realize until after a year. If yours is an older machine, you may not have one. They have tweaked these after the first models came out. If you do not have a clean setting, put 1/3 cup of bleach in bleach place and run it empty...no soap on cold water. Also, wipe under the casket around the door.Other than that, google "trouble shooting" for you model of washer.Keep us informed as to how you solve this!Good luck!!HelpfulReply
