Of all the sites with advice about ants and citrus trees I found none that mentioned coffee. Same advice would go for any citrus tree:

I haven't tried this, but the simplest thing would be to spread wet coffee grounds out there. You have to get rid of them anyway. You get to try both methods that way, since they will dry out.
Gather any or all of the following herbs: yarrow, tansy, penny royal, thyme, lavender, rue, catnip and artemisia. Mix at least a cup of this herbal mixture with 2 tablespoons used coffee grounds and 2 cups of water. Allow this to marinate for at least 24 hours before straining and placing into a spray bottle. This can keep for several weeks.
Didn't know that ants were bothered by coffee grounds. One of the Starbucks coffee shop use to have bags of coffee grounds by the exit door. It just for gardners to add to their gardens. I did try it though. Im not sure about the ants but the snails snd slugs didnt like it. I would say check at a local Starbucks or Duncan coffee shop.
