How do you clean dust bunnies stuck on knotty pine wall paneling?

The whole interior, walls and ceilings, is finished in knotty pine. It was not finished well and is rough. It doesn’t wipe off when dusted and Murphy’s oil soap doesn’t work. I thought there might be a better way than vacuuming ceilings and walls. Thanks everyone.

Why are they stuck? Did you just varnish the wall?

No. The house was my parents’ and over the years dust has built up on the walls. Whoever built the house never sanded the panels smooth; they are rough to feel

Roughness is the character of knotty pine unless it has been covered in several coats of clear varnish or polyurethane. Had it in my basement when I lived in Baltimore City and loved it. Does yours have this clear finish? If it doesn't possibly you should put in the time and labor which will make the wood easier to clean and better looking.

Then vacuum with dusting brush attachment and wash down with Murphy's Oil Soap or Spic and Span. Knotty pine will last a lifetime if cared for properly.
