I spray painted a couple cement statues. Used the cheap spray paint from Walmart and put a coat of poly over that.

Just repainted our many year old gnome. He was a mess. Brushed him really hard with a wire brush and wahed him down so no dust. Then two coates of spray paint. He was painted all whie and I almost added color, but thought he was suppoes to be white. He looks many years younger!

I brush with a wire brush and hose down to get any flaking paint off. If it's a one color thing use spray paint and a couple of coats of clear coat. For multi colors I use regular acrylic paint and at least 2 coats of clear glaze. Glossy or matte, your choice. I also have painted numerous resin and plastic yard ornaments using the same technique. Good luck!!
