no. They are not made of plastic. A shred of plastic from the wrapper may go astray, but in order to be sold as food, it has to be food. That said, there is some tolerance for insect parts...and no I’m not kidding. If you work around edibles consumed by John Q. Public, you wear a hat or cap or those lovely hair nets, so no stray hairs get in the food. You also wear plastic gloves when making the food, Handeling the food.
