Well, we make Lawn Art, totem poles... We're currently making mushrooms & flowers and totems on poles....
Plant flowers or herbs around the base.
You can put solid blocks under, this makes it easier to sweep the mess, or make a catcher for the seed
No solution available on this one...birds are like kids...they are naturally messy! LOL

spread a good layer of pea gravel around the base?
I’m not sure I’d use pea gravel, because it can get caught in dog paws and every little indent in sneakers, wrecking flooring in the house. It also tends to stray.
I don’t know if you can find smaller river rock, making a decorative circle around the base of your feeder, or even a conical pile like the cover.
The debris would at least blend in better. And if the stones are larger, you could vacuum with your shop vac.
