Windex will remove nail polish from carpet.
Years ago my 3 yr old painted my peach carpet w/ drk red polish. It was over 1 sq ft and some on my dresser. I was told it would be $100 to cut out the piece of carpet and put in another piece. Since I had nothing to loose I got the carpet cleaner ready, poured polish remover on the area, scrubbed it w/ a brush, put a towel on it to absorb as much as I could, and then I used the carpet cleaner to get out what was left. All of the polish came out and the carpet was fine.
Hi Annie, You could make a solution of Hydrogen Peroxide with a squirt of Dawn dish soap. Blot this solution on. Don't rub it. Then blot back up. You could even stand on a clean cloth over the stain to blot back up. Best of luck to you.
