I used baskets to organize and this actually ended up giving me more cupboard space. During the process I also removed things I know longer needed.

Use some tension rods to place your baking racks, pan lids and shallow pans on their side. Use another one under the sink to hang spray bottles and make more room on the bottom of the space. Thing vertical. Add small wire shelves to stack up canned goods, spices and dishes. If you have tall upper cabinets you can use locker shelves for boxed foods like cereal, cake mixes, etc. Make dividers for your flat drawers and glue or tack them in place to separate your flatware and kitchen utensils. Place your most used utensils in a thrift store crock or mason jar on your countertop. Wrap 3-4 old hardcover books with twine or decorative tape and use it as a knife rack on your countertop, or attach a magnetic strip to the wall for your knives.
Making use of the wall has helped me tons, I hang my utensils, pots etc on the wall to save space
