If you are talking about a dryer vent, I took an empty large fabric softener bottle, spray painted it, and cut a piece out of one side of it, just enough so it would fit under the open end of the vent. I keep water in the bottom of the bottke, and the lint, so it blows straight into the water. You just have to empty it regularly.
Here in the spring, the birds gather up the lint to line their nests with. I have a cover over my dryer vent but have heard of putting a nylon sock over the vent and that will catch the lint...need to change it often, however.
