Lemon scented washing up liquid works for me. Put the liquid directly on the area and leave for a few minutes then throw some water over it to rinse it off (or do as I do and let the rain rinse it off)

Baking soda into a paste with water would be your bet way as not to harm the plants.Leave in on long enough for the solution to work.

I have the same problem. Why is the pee so strong is what I wonder too. I'm hoping to get an answer as to what to do off of this too

It's the acid in it that makes it so strong, it's also why you get brown patches on your lawn. Some pet shops sell drops you can add to dogs drinking water to get rid of the acid

I spray it down with vinegar then rinse it with clean water. Deters them from marking the same spot.

Not an answer to you problem but try a drop of vinegar to their water bowl to neutralise the acid in their urine. I know it sounds odd but try it

I sprinkle baking soda where our dogs do their business, works wonders.

    M

I have multiple large dogs that have been using the same enclosure for 20 years. The best urine odor oxidizing solution I have found is a mixture of oxiclean (or store brand equivalent) and baking soda.

I make the solution in a large sprinkling can. I fill can 1/2 way with HOT water then add 1/4 cup oxiclean and 1/4 cup baking soda. Stir until dissolved, a long paint mixing stick works well. Then fill the sprinkling can the rest of the way with cool water and add a few drops of dish detergent as a wetting agent.

Go out and sprinkle solution over area making sure to wet area thoroughly. Do not rinse. Solution is harmless to pets and people but do not breath dry oxiclean dust when mixing.

Get uricide at uricide.com..I tried dozens of products over the years, none of them worked...I have two german shepards and one bulldog and they pee all over my yard...The smell was unbearable...Uricide is a living bacteria product, not a enzyme cover up product that only works for a day..It is the only product that works..

I second the uricide treatment, it really works great

Regular hosing down with plain old water might not get rid of all the odour but will definitely not hurt your plants, so maybe just start with that? After that, Angry Orange Pet Odor Eliminator is very well-reviewed and non-toxic, so it shouldn't hurt plants, but still might want to try it on a small area first.

You could take your dogs for walks and have them pee elsewhere, otherwise you are treating the symptom rather than the problem.

Make a mixture of one teaspoon vinegar with four teaspoons of water. You can use either apple cider vinegar or white vinegar for this purpose. Both help in neutralizing pee odor. With the help of a spray bottle, apply this all over the affected soil or grass.

  • The urine may already be harming the plants. Try some baking soda.

A sprinkling can is a container with a spout and handle, the head of the spout has holes that distribute the contents to a wider area than a pour. Google it for images.

Hi Mae: I use a product called Odormute, and you can get it online at Chewy and I think Walmart sells it, too. Https://Odormute.com It's an enzyme eater, which you need to get rid of the urine smell. It is non-toxic and you can even use it on your pet and clothes. I have used it for years with wonderful results.
