Great project.
Primer and paint will revitalize your room.
We have a log cabin and too much wood is dark and dreary.
We are quite pleased the previous homeowner placed paneling in two bedrooms and painted it a light color. I would suggest not to hesitare to your paint paneling for a room brightening update.
I think you’ll be really pleased with your results. Best wishes in your paneling painting adventure!

Fill all holes then sand. Wash paneling with warm water and TSP. Let dry. Prime with two coats of Kilz2. Paint with your choice of wall paint in the finish of your preference. Voila! new room. Enjoy.
