Sand it paint it, seal it. Buy new hardware for the handles. The color you choose, should match your kitchen theme. If you use a high gloss paint, you can paint it just like that. Line the draws with contact paper, and cover the top also. You can find some real nice patterns. This paint is easy clean up just a damp warm rag. wipes right up.
