I think these blinds would look great. They will give you as much privacy as you choose, but you appear to have a great view and light. Easy to install.
To me it looks as though sheers would be a bother to hang and adjust constantly.
I think the blinds inks would be very chic in a color.
Even sheers will block your view. You could hang the curtains in a Priscilla style. Like this but, without the valance.

Then I would make that a nice reading nook. A comfy chair, table and lamp.
you ca get sheers by the panel, and add a few more for fullness.
My personal favorite is a double rod with sheers underneath and curtains that can be closed if desired.
A Roman shade would look lovely here too. Or even vertical blinds if that is your style.
This would be a perfect place for a desk... or if you don't want curtains hand plants... I used closet rod brackets and black iron pipe up close to the ceiling
