If you can pull down any that has already lifted that will save you. Also peeling off the top layer then score and wet and scrap with plastic putty knife. Yes a big job but you will enjoy when done. You can get the scoring tool at big box hardware stores. Good luck

I am not sure what your question is. Do you want to know how to take off the wallpaper? Are you asking for decorating suggestions? What do you want answered?

Several years ago, I took wallpaper off that was really stuck on the wall. I rented a steamer from a rental hardware place. You use the scoring tool that comes with it, score and steam ( it's like a big steam iron) then scrape with a putty knife. Yes, it was a job, but it went very quickly, and I returned the steamer using it only 1 day. A few years later, we took old linoleum off the kitchen hardwood floors, and the cardboard backing stuck. Rented the steamer again, used the score thing, then scraped the backing off. Again, went very quickly using the steamer! The steamer just loosens the glue right up!
