How to cover a very large arched window?

Arched window is in bedroom and faces west - evening sun and heat come in. Need to shut daylight out to sleep.

you can buy black out curtains. They block the sun & light, google it
If you put an extra wide curtain rod over it, you can push the room-darkening curtains past the window when you have them open, then close them over the opening when you need it darker.
