You will have to have access to a gas line. Do you have a gas meter on your property?
The cost will depend on how far the gas meter and piping are from your oven space. This type of work usually requires a permit from the city and a Plummer is who does this type of work.
Hello. I need to do the same thing. My furnace is gas so I know it can be done. I was suggested to start with contacting the gas company. Haven't yet, still saving up for a new stove. Good Luck!
The cost would depend on how far the line needs to run, and if you can do it yourself. The only thing I know has to be done by a professional is connecting the new line to the gas line, so that would cost whatever the charge would be for their time. I believe plumbers can do this type of work, but you might want to check with them in your area.
Thank you.
