How can I make a big round spot in my yard look nice?
I have a 24 ft round spot in my backyard where a pool used to be- I would love to make it a patio with a few chairs, a fire pit where my grandchilden can roast marshmallows, But when we have rain storms the 24ft hole fills with water, Please tell me how I can make this look really nice without the problem of water fill up every time it rains. Thank you

Can you bring in a load of tumbled rock? Say medium sized pebbles ? Or a mix of small, medium, & large. Put down A very good weed block fabric first. This will allow the water to absorb, but the area will still be usable. Then you can put a free standing fire pit/bowl on top of the rocks. Be sure to use some granulated mosquito block over the rock. You can use a hose & wash it down into the rock so the kids don't bother it.
Was it an above ground pool? If so, the rain may just be going to the low point in your yard. If you are installing patio pavers, they call for landscape fabric, a gravel base, then sand, then the paver. It’s usually done so the lawnmower can safely cut and there’s very little if any trimming. Here’s something from Unilock that may help. https://1vs7ey1ytcns1dlq0x404ckq-wpengine.nietdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/mp/files/assets/files/homeowner-project-guide-17.pdf
