Sounds so fun! You could use pallet wood to make one that had a rustic style that would be budget friendly :) Or you could cover a wire archway with burlap and sunflowers!
Base; baled hay, use a garden arbour as actual arch ( can “ gift to bride and groom after for their own home. )
Twine/weave flower garlands through arch from hay bales upwards; maybe use MICHAELS or similar, garlqands when discounted by coupons/sales
perhaps add solar lighting==depends on venue and future use of course,,,,,,,
although out of season, some ‘fake ‘ pumpkins ‘On the vine’ would be a natural choice to anchor the vines and seasonal flowers ‘growing up’ from the hat bales——or skip the bales and use planter boxes........
When you say "arch" are you wanting a curved arch? If not, this might be an easier solution. (We lovingly call it a "Texas Shade Tree") in areas that are not very lush with vegetation. You and make it more narrow if necessary......Or wider to accommodate the wedding party. Be sure to match the color of the bride's dress. A "champagne" colored dress would look dingy if your trellis is stark white. Please don't use lattice whatever you do as that looks dated and a little flimsy for a wedding. If you have decided on latticework at some point, use the lattice that his horizontal and vertical making squares...not the diagonal lattice.

Is the planned archway going to act as a 'canopy' under which the wedding couple will take their vows, or is it going to be a photo area, or for decoration only?
There are some killer ideas on Pinterest for a rustic wedding. Check out https://www.pinterest.com/explore/rustic-wedding-archway/.
My suggestion at this point in time is to go on Google Images and type in various combinations of words such as rustic, barn, canopy, arch, sunflower, wedding, etc. There are innumerable styles , so before you start on building plans, you have to narrow down the possibilities. Have your daughter look through them and choose three things about the different shapes and decorations that she really likes, and three things that she definitely does not want.
Depending on the size of the structure, building one from scratch will not always be cheaper. Start now to keep your eye out for sales. Maybe you could find a ready-made suitable arch or pergola on summer clearance.
