Attaching retail style pegboard shelves to the wall.
I purchased some retail style, metal framed pegboard shelves from the local farm store when they were selling them off. These are the ones with the metal shelves that attach to the frame. Apparently I neglected to get the bases so there is no way to make them free standing. I’m trying to figure out a way to attach them to the walls so I can use the shelves. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Mount into a wood frame, with spacer at the back, then attach wood frame vertically to walls with appropriate screws.

First, find studs, then nail 2x3 or 2x4 frame onto them. Then nail peg board onto frame. This way you can see what you’re doing better and the 2 or more inches gives you plenty of space behind the board to stick hooks into. You’ll love this. I decluttered mu garage with them. Good luck !
I used to build these fixtures in stores years ago, what I think you have Is a frame made out of the chanel that holds shelves with a peg board insert. I would mount some horizontal wood boards on the wall screwing into the wall studs and then mount with long screws into the strips through the peg board or channel. You need enough space between the wall and pegboard to mount the hooks so choose your wood boards with that in mind. I would use washers on the side facing out to hold the pegboard in place: screw, washer, pegboard.

I’m really wanting to use the metal shelves that attach to the channels even more than the pegboard. Thanks though!
