Hi Judy. I'm Cindy. You will need a stencil, a stencil brush, and paint. Usually stencils have a mark that you can line up to continue your design. Tape the stencil to hold in place. Put some paint on your round stencil brush and wipe most of it off on a paper towel. Then lightly pounce the brush on your stencil. You can put several layers of paint to create a more defined look. Judy, I hope you find this info helpful. Good luck.
While you are learning and getting the hang of it, use dollar store craft supplies so you have a minimum cash outlay. Then when funds permit you can buy a better brush or paint here and there from the craft store. Sign up for the email from your local craft and hobby stores, they send out awesome coupons where you can get a quality item here and there relatively inexpensively. Here are some sites to get you started! It is so much fun!

Good suggestions Always pounce/dab straight on after removing the excess. If you go on an angle, the paint will bleed under the stencil. I found some great supplies at $ (as mentioned), surplus, liquidation stores.
