Sink to fountain/bird bath
Hi all, have a gorgeous sink that we can't use in new home. Want to turn it into a fountain-bird bath for backyard. What do I need to accomplish this project?

they sell small solar fountains at wayfair.com that you can use in your bird bath
Well, I don’t how to do it but because that sink is so beautiful, I would want it elevated and tilted slightly so as to create a “waterfall” effect but to also see the interior design. I would think I would construct (pile) some rocks in an oval shape to create a tower of sorts, find an oval bucket or container to install on top and to fit the sink at a tilt. This probably isn’t too much help but maybe it will get your imagination going. Good luck.
I just want to say it is beautiful & I wish I had one to try to use it also. Now i’ll Be looking for a sink to use. Thanks for the idea.
Great idea as a fountain, but birds will not use it to bathe as the finish is 'slick' - we use bath mats in our shower - birds need the same rough texture for secure footing.
I chose easy way not requiring electrical hookup, cord, etc. Filled sink basin drain hole with large cork, set it on concrete pedestal and then put large flat rock in. Set solar bird bath fountain (several types for solar bird baths on amazon, also water additive to prevent mosquito larvae) on top of rock and filled with water per instructions. It is enjoyed daily by hummingbirds here. Since it is solar it does not run after sun goes down but that is fine with me.
