Doing A Kitchen Reno Refresh- Design thoughts??? Help!
Can I mix stainless steel with copper? We have stainless appliances. I have cinnamon /cherry cabinets & black granite counters. I would like a dark (nearly black) espresso quartz sink, brushed stainless steel faucet and glass tile backsplash with some copper for a little sparkle and stainless cabinet pulls. Hubby says stick to the stainless sink but if I do that can I still mix in some copper in the backsplash without it looking like I just threw in an added color? I just think it needs some pizazz. And the flooring is also being changed to a grouted faux stone plank with grays and tans. Design thoughts??? Help!

Personally I think the stainless steel would work beautifully with the grays in the new flooring. Your appliances are already stainless steel so keeping all the finishes the same gives the room a finished look and well put together. For extra pizzazz you can always add snazzy pulls and handles for the cabinets :D
Be careful not to have so many different patterns. With the cabinet tops and flooring you may find adding more textures and colors will make things a little too busy and take away from the new floors and cabinet tops.
If you are looking to add a splash of color in your backsplash, there is a copper colored stainless steel. It is not as deep a copper color as a regular copper and has that stainless patina. It would coordinate well with your appliances and cabinets - actually make the cherry pop - and add a hint of copper without being obnoxiously orange. Try googling it. I believe I used Tilebar.com to make purchases in the past. I always recommend a client get a sample of what they like and place it in their kitchen. Move it from where it gets the most light to where it gets the least and live with it a little before making the change. Remember, the look changes with the variance in light, so what you like in a bright room you may not like in a dim room and vice-a-versa. Same goes with the cabinet pulls and knobs. If you go for the stainless copper, then try a coordinating knob or pull. These are relatively inexpensive changes that can make a huge difference. Good Luck!
Paint the cabinets white and do a new backsplash. You can keep your countertops and you'll be surprised how bright and updated the kitchen will look. You can even keep your floor. If you still want to change it after that, you can. It's a pretty inexpensive solution that will make a HUGE difference!

Use of the Back splash that includes a random mix of all colors in the kitchen will pull together nicely
