How can you get a full ink cartridge to write?
I have several pens with full ink cartridges that will write a couple of words, then quit. Can you heat the tip...or put in boiling water for a min or two and get the ink to reflow? My wife throws the pens away when she finds one that is like this, and I think it is a waste.

If you shake the pens first, it will help break up any congealed ink inside. Use thick paper like a brown envelope or construction paper to test the pens. Press down to break any wax tip or congealed ink at the end. Scribble the pen back and forth on the paper in a zigzag motion. If the pens don’t write after all this, they must be too old to use. Stick pens with no kids are usually the worst, but once the pens start writing, they should last as long as usual. Best wishes, D-r. ☺️
Try heating the tip but not too long. The tips are metal but the ink tube may be plastic and will melt and the tip fall out.
Shake well and try tip in very hot, not boiling water for a few seconds
I've used a lighter to quickly heat the tip up and sometimes it works
Try putting the tips of pens in medicinal alcohol overnight. I have been successful in doing this.
Try cleaning the printer under the ink cartridge maintenance. Your printer head might be dirty or clogged.
