What is an easy, cheaper way to clean or restore my deck?
My deck has years of element exposure. You can see in the picture what it looks like under my grill mat vs everywhere else. I want to clean it really good before doing anymore sealing or whatnot.

You can go buy some deck cleaner and use a power washer to clean it off. If you don't have a power washer, you can rent one. If you don't want to rent one, you can use a stiff bristle garage broom to scrub the deck wash in and then rinse with a hose. The power washer will do the best job. When it's dry enough to seal--use a product that soaks into the wood--a linseed based product--not a product that lays on top of the wood like paint.
Powerwash it, you can rent one. Then coat the entire deck with something like Ready Seal. It comes in a few different colors. I used it on some outdoor furniture and wrote a review here.
We have always cleaned our deck and fences with a power washer Jamie, it does a really good job and if you don't have one you can rent them at most rental places. There may be cleaners you can spray the deck with first but we never used anything but water. :)
Rent a industrial power washer.
