Ho to keep water from seeping into my lanai when it rains?
My backyard has a gentle slope that unfortunately slopes toward the house. I would like to remove the slope and put in a French drain so I can use the area as an out side terrace and keep the water out of my enclosed lanai at the at the same time.

Hire an experienced contractor to properly install the french drain. You may need to obtain permits and having a licensed contractor doing the work will make the whole process easier.
In addition to the French drain, you’ll want to reverse the slope or build up around the terrace or lanai. You might consider a low retaining wall/raised garden plot.
You need to terraform, so the water and reosion is away from the home. Also consider an investment into planting shrubs around the home to absorb the water.
