How to cover old paneling?
Hello, I just bought a 1945 home and the stairway consists of nice pine trim, with old high gloss paneling. I plan to sand it first to remove the gloss so the paint will stick. Should I prime it afterward with heavy primer or will regular primer / paint work for me as well?

I would use the heavy primer first, but you can use a deglosser (Krud Kutter is my favorite) and that will prep the panels. Best of luck!
