Use a pair of pliers to get a better grip. Wrap a cloth around the sprayer first to prevent bending and scratching the sprayer.
is it because it's rusty? If so you may try soaking it in a container of Coke. I love the stuff but it does dissolve rust. :) Try over night. Good Luck.
There is something called Penetrating Oil. It is like WD-40. Get it at any hardware store or Home Depot. It is made to get in there in tight places and loosen them up.

Clamp one end well after covering so as not to cause damage, then cover the other end and clamp on with a pipe wrench for good leverage and apply brute force!
