I have a fairly new one. I did hang it higher than before to make the room appear taller and give it a more current vibe like the window curtains that are hung closer to the ceiling.
You can add any valance to any shower set by simply putting up another tension rod to hold it. We have done this and it looks nice! I used a white one as my valance was light.
