Does anyone know what is good and safe removing paint from laminate?
I have huge number of kitchen cabinets, two of the big ones has old old contact paper and I cleaned them good and sanded down any edges, then spray painted them with a nice gloss made for plastic. Looks good, but the mist got all over my laminate floor, did not cover the floor enough... ugh. Can I safely remove that with something?

Hi Deborah,
A combination of cleaning with soap & water then acetone should work. Click on this article for step-by-step directions that should work. Wishing you the best with your project!

Try just using a plastic scraper or a plastic round kitchen scrubby. Many times those little dots come right up.
ty yes I do think I'll have to do the acetone thing due to the amount of spray that has gotten on the floor
Take one of the cabinet doors to the paint department of the home improvement store and ask them to select paint/stains and other finishes and application tools that will work for your kitchen. They have the best selection, the most up-to-date materials and most important, the most informative sales staff to get you what you need for a professional job.
I would use a bit of mineral spirits on a rag before trying the acetone which is far more damaging. Try it in an inconspicious area first.
