I use a 50/50 mix of vinegar and hot water in a spray bottle. Spray it on the wallpaper and let it work the glue. Use a putty knife to scrape it off. Wash the glue residue with the same mixture.

Hi Sara! Sounds like you may have a fairly easy job if it is already peeling everywhere! Just pull gently at a loose corner...it may just come right off! Spritz with a little water and carefully lift areas that stick with a putty knife or paint scraper. Be careful not to rip the drywall paper underneath. Here are some suggestions if the paper is more difficult to remove...http://danthedrywallman.com/how-to-remove-wallpaper-from-drywall/

In addition to William's excellent answer, you might purchase a "Paper Tiger" scoring tool which is a small tool which has sharp interior similar to a hair brush that can be rubbed over the wall paper which perforates/scratches it a bit so the mixture in the spray bottle can work on the areas that are more difficult to remove.

I use fabric softner in warm water after scoring the paper thoroughly. I tape the whole floor in plastic sheeting to the baseboards with all furniture in the center of the room covered in plastic. I use a large trashcan with a contractor bag. I put a couple layers of newspaper along the walls over the plastic to absorb any excess liquid.

I like to use a car sponge and plastic dish pan. I soak it holding the dish pan below to catch most liquid. Then I let it sit 20 mins, and test scrape, if its still stuck, I soak again. So I move around the room in 4 to 5' areas. Score, wet, move over... then go back to the first one.

If its falling off, is it vinyl or foil paper.... if so just pull down what you can first, there will be a paper backing left on the walls which is much easier to scrape off as its thin. Dump all debri into the trash can as you go, it will make cleanup a lot easier, then just pull up the tape and plastic off the floor, roll it up and into the can it goes.

Great answer, up to the last drop. I will find time end of the month to do it! Thanks again
