What color for a lake seating area?
Just bought a lake house. My husband has a dark brown chair he loves. I want to buy a dark gray sofa. Do you think that would look good together?

Suggestions for Large and deep Alcove/niche in living room ?
Need help with how to decorate around a tv in this space. It's a deep Alcove next to the fireplace that goes from the floor to the ceiling!
You can do it - find pillows, an area rug - any accessories that have both colors in it to pull the two colors together.
I'd see if I could get a color sample of the couch first. Maybe go with a lighter grey that would work better. Maybe a grey on the blueish side . And I'd play with paint samples first to see what color grey looks best.
if it's a 'warm' grey and not a 'cool' tone grey -- more 'elephant grey' than a 'fog' grey
I think it would look beautiful! They are both neutrals. I would try to have some pillows in coordinating colors to bring both together even more :)
being neutral compliment each other.
I’m not as sure as other folks here. 😬 They’re both neutral, but the under ones aren’t usually great together. Brown is warm and grey is cool. Sorry! You may want to choose a different coloured sofa if the chair is a keeper - navy would be nice in a lake house. :)
