Darker blue on door and floor with lighter (Wedgewood) on shutters.
Front porch color palette advice please?
The exterior of our house is light yellow with two shades of blue accented by white trim. Without having too much going on, what color should I paint the furniture for our front porch? Or should I even paint it? It is currently brown wicker style. What colors for a rug to tie it all together? What about cushions for furniture? i imagine things in my mind and they never come out the way I envision them. i desperately need color advice! Thanks

I might go with white, otherwise you run the risk of too much going on and the eye not having a place to rest., Just my opinion
White or blue.....slightly darker than your current blue or a shade lighter perhaps. This would make it interesting and keep the flow.
that is a sweet house. How big is the furniture? I visited a house recently that had brown kind of squarish furniture on the front porch of the log cabin the house is. It was fine as the house is so big and the porch so deep. I think blue would be nice, unless your furniture is very large. You could also add a piece of trellis painted blue or white and a very narrow table on the right of the door. And have potted plants climbing the trellis if you like that look.
I would spray the wicker white and select a fabric that has the yellow, blue, white and a FOURTH color for a POP of color..... preferably a bright color to contrast, like bright orange, lime green or even black. Your color scheme is beautiful - you just need to add one additional color to punch it up a bit.
Good-day Verna! You have a lovely facade and color scheme to your home. I would leave your wicker natural for two reasons; when it comes to wicker or rattan - natural is more appealing and once you paint it, you can never "unpaint" it (too many cracks and crevices). And for the pillows, I would stick with your existing colors. In a plaid, stripe or chevron pattern. Here is an example from Etsy:

As for your front door rug, I would try to find something neutral that matched your wicker furniture. I wouldn't have a separate rug by the furniture. Because the porch is painted, you don't need one. Again this is just a suggestion from Grandinroad:

Subtle coordinating colors are what your going for here. I would love to see the end result.
Best of luck!
Since you might be selling, I would just put a couple of chairs with bright pillows and a small table in between. I would leave the furniture brown. Brown and blue and yellow always go good together. Your porch isn't very wide and you want to make it look bigger, not crowded it with stuff. A rug will probably show the size of the porch, so I would avoid that. A few potted plants with bright flowers would brighten things up. Keep your grass cut and trimmed by the walkway and garden. Plant some bright flowers in the garden. A nice new doormat is good too. If you're going to sell in the fall, mums always look good with a few pumpkins sprinkled in. Also, keep the garden weeded.
So beautiful! I would either go with white or match the furniture to the lighter blue shutter color. As for pillows, find a fun pattern that brings in the blues and yellows. Good luck! What a fun project! Hugs, Holly
Hi there. I would stick to the color scheme that you have. Furniture in a white with cushions in bright yellow and blue. But I also wouldnt put down a rug - as the porch is not too big. Potted plants with oranges and yellows would look great too. I would also do borders alongside the path to the front door with colorful plants - this also gives an inviting look to the property.
Good luck
