SPRAY WITH CLORUX CLEAN UP
Hi there.
The cleaning solution consists of a bleach and baking soda paste. You make it by mixing bleach and baking soda in a bowl until it’s about the consistency of pancake batter. The baking soda doesn’t do any cleaning; it’s just a cheap powder that will help make the bleach pasty. Don’t skimp on the cleaning solution here – go ahead and make way more than you think you’ll need. Bleach and baking soda are both inexpensive.
Use a disposable paint brush to apply the bleach paste on to the moldy trim. Again, don’t skimp here; it’s cheap, so cake it on. I suggest you try to work somewhat quickly though. The bleach might disintegrate the bristles on your disposable paint brush, so you might not have all day.
After the bleach has been sitting for several hours, it will probably have dried out. At this point, put some bleach in a spray bottle and wet the trimming. The bleach will run down and re-saturate the paste. Once you are satisfied, then simple rinse with clean water, and there you have it - clean and mold free trimming.
Hope this helps
Is it grout or caulk? This will determine how best to clean.
Take papertowels full of bleach and pack them in the areas and let sit. After an hour, remove papertowels. You may need to repeat if it's a really bad problem. Make sure to have the area well ventilated and wear a mask. Unless you have marble surfaces in the shower area, I recommend wet & forget shower to prevent the problem in the future. Applied once a week, it will keep your shower nice. Not sure how long it would take it to clean mold.
Spray it with tiled mildew remover and leave it for about 30 minutes. Make sure to turn on fan and open window and shut door. The fumes can be bad. Rinse when finished.
