What is the best wooden balcony flooring?
We have a 2nd story balcony made out of wood with a patio below. It has 2 sides with open windows and 3 front open arches so when it rains hard it has standing water for days. What is the best flooring? We had tile and grout at one time but it cracked and leaked rotting the wood underneath which has all been replaced?

No matter what floor you use the first thing you have to do is fix the drain issue. Water should not be standing on the floor.
Can you put some type of drainage in the floor or slightly angle it so that it will run off? Then run the water over to a drain pipe like a gutter down spout. Then you could have any type of floor you want. Unless you get the water to run off, concrete is the only thing I can think of that will withstand the water issue.
I agree with Archie! The standing water issue must be handle first. Then you can use any flooring you want. Install some type of drain.
Does your balcony have scuppers? They're openings that allow water to drain off the balcony. If you have them, check that they are not blocked. If your balcony is enclosed at the floor level, you may need some scuppers/drainage installed. Also, the floor of the balcony must have a slope that drains the water away from the building.
