Shi, it would help if I could see more photos of this room so I could see what you have and how to rearrange things to be more efficient and more attractive for you.
Need to see more of the room. However, if you need storage, some attractive narrow containers to store things. Or, shelves. It depends on what you need and how the rest of the room looks.
So the stuff in the corner is trapped between the dresser and the night stand?
If you're not on a small budget, get a lazy susan from a kitchen cabinet place. You can also get wood quarter round shelves from a lumber yard and brackets to hold them up.
Is this a bedroom? If so perhaps a nice tall potted plant for the corner instead of adding more shelves for more stuff.
First I would find a new place for the cat box. Can you put it in the bathroom, garage or basement? Next I would remove the cardboard box. Put your items in a clear plastic container for neater storage. Then perhaps store the box under the bed or in a closet. Move the fan to the corner and you're done!
After removing everything from the corner and finding a new home for it, I would put a tall potted plant that does well indoors! You could also put a floor lamp if you need more light in the space!
