Vinegar Rinse. Mix 1 part white or apple cider vinegar with 4 parts water. To minimize the vinegar smell, I also add lavender, peppermint, and/or rosemary essential oils to the vinegar mixture. I like to mix a big batch of this ahead of time and keep it in a squeeze bottle in the shower.
I read some that mix the vinegar with baking soda. There are so many variations though.
As a Nutritionist, I like to keep my long locks growing and split end free. I don't use for shampoo; but I do use for a rinse after. For less frizz and shinier hair, I apply baking soda to my scalp 1st. Then I mix 1/2 tsp. ACV with 1c H2O and apply. This will stimulate the scalp and increase hair growth; about 3 times /week. On other days, I combine 8 drops of essential oils, like lemon, rosemary, or mint-depending on mood- to 1/2 c ACV in a spray bottle. After washing and rinsing my hair, I spray over my locks, let sit a few, then rinse to give my locks a glow and uplift. It will also keep dandruff or any residue buildup from shampoo at bay!!
The replies you have all given to me are wonderful. I am truely thankful. My daughter battled cancer for 5 years of chemo and radiation. She is 6 years cancer free this up coming month.
