I do crafts with terracotta pots, recycled glass bowls, vases, and any thing I can get my hands on but my glue has not been very good. What glue should I use?
If it works, why not? Sure wouldn't hurt to try
Would work is they slide into each other. I would use hard-as-nails glue. That stuff never comes loose
I wouldn't advise gluing them together because, with the weight of the curtains, they are sure to sag in the middle. Although they seem like a good find it would be quite inexpensive to buy new curtain rods in Walmart.
Oops! Sorry, Susan, I guess I didn't read your post properly!
I'm glad I didn't offend you and hope your project goes well. I am in the thick of DIY now and am in the process of putting up a backsplash in the spare bathroom (trial run for the one I intend to put up in the kitchen). Bathroom one is colored flat-backed marbles from Dollar Tree, yes really, $1 a bag. I've seen some great videos on Google and Hometalk. I have just baked some of the marbles, and shocked them in ice, so now they are all crackly and interesting. The kitchen backsplash will be in cobblestones and maybe a sliver of chipped colored glass here and there. I'll see how the bathroom one turns out first.
Have a great one with the wall hangings. Let us know how you get on.
2 part epoxy from dollar store
Check at Penney or Lowes...they have for rextenders that fit in the middle of your rod. Not expensive
