Hi, Kne: Just getting toward the holiday season! Watch magazines, Pinterest and Hometalk - there are many ideas. I usually discard pinecones after the season (keeping them through Winter, though) as they tend to draw insects and/or breakdown in storage.
The Senior Center in my home town is making potted christmas trees from them. The are using assorted sized cones and pots, painting/applying glitter and other decorations. They make cute holiday decorations...I don't have any pictures of the finished products yet!
Decorate with them! My mom used to collect them and use for fall and winter decor. Here are some sites with fun pine cone crafts.

You send them to me😝
You may paint and/or add glitter, let dry then place in a bowl or container to use as a centerpiece on a table, floor or counter of your choice. Good luck!
