Hi Alissa! I would find the studs in your walls and mark their position above and below where you want your tin. That way you can drill and screw your tin to the studs for a secure install.
There are screws and washers (gaskets) for tin roof installation that would attach your tin to the wall and provide a moisture barrier.

If the tin is thin, I'd apply some Loctite Power Grab. It comes in a caulking tube. A thin bead near the edges is all you need. It will stick to wall and not move. If you have corrugated tin like for roofs, then you probably want to use a self-tapping screw that will drive through the tin and into the studs.
The barn wood can be fastened using long finish nails from a nail gun and driven with a hammer. You could also put some Power Grab on the back of the boards.
