I have never tried it as I don't have Moles, but I remember reading it somewhere.
You can always use Sonic vibration probe, I used that in my first garden and it worked for me. Otherwise call in the Mole Catcher - give your Local Authority a call, maybe they can help with contacts. Best wishes....
